As part of Browns Give Back, the Browns are continuing their commitment to #give10 through the team’s signature First and Ten volunteering campaign during the offseason after engaging the community throughout the season each Tuesday on the players’ day off.

Launched in June 2014, the Cleveland Browns First and Ten campaign was established to inspire fans to volunteer in and help their communities throughout the world by volunteering for 10 hours each year. Through First and Ten, the Browns are the only NFL club to promote a long-term volunteering program that unifies the team and its entire fan base, with the goal of impacting every individual’s city across the globe, as well as the franchise’s local community. Fans are encouraged to share how they give back in their communities by tagging their stories #give10 on social media.

Ronnie Stanley and Marshal Yanda are entrenched at left tackle and right guard, respectively, but there's more flexibility with the other spots. Alex Lewis played left guard last season but was a left tackle at Nebraska in 2014 and 2015. Lewis could presumably bounce outside to right tackle, with Siragusa filling in at left guard. The competition for center also is wide open, though Siragusa has never played there before.

"I've never really snapped. If they want to teach me how to play center, I'm obviously willing to learn, but I haven't really played center before," Siragusa said. "But I feel like I'm really football smart to where I could understand the schemes of the defense and offense and what calls to make and how to multi-task -- snapping and doing footwork at the same time.

"I just want to help the team win, and whatever that entails me to do -- if that means I've got to be the sixth guy and play both guard spots in case someone gets hurt, or be the backup center, or come in on big-man packages, I don't care, just whatever it takes for the team to win."

"He’d have to keep improving [to have a shot at the Olympics]," Devon Hind, Humphrey's high school coach, told AL.com. “College is a whole new level. So then are the Olympics beyond that. But he’s on par with those who have done it before. Right now, you can say that he’s on par with the elite hurdlers that there have ever been in high school.”

Humphrey also established himself as one of the elite corners in college football. After redshirting as a freshman, he was a starter in his two seasons with the Crimson Tide, totaling 29 starts while playing against some of the best talent in the SEC.

He's coming into a situation with the Ravens, where there won't be tremendous pressure to start right away. Baltimore has two proven starters with the return of Jimmy Smith and the free-agent signing of Brandon Carr.

"That is not to say I do not think [Humphrey] is going to get on the field right away because I think he is, and we are going to be in a rotation with all those players," coach John Harbaugh said. "That is a good thing to have. We are going to have a lot of players on the field that can cover people."

McVay wasn't around when the Rams moved up 14 spots to draft Goff No. 1 overall last spring, and thus has no real loyalty to Goff, who struggled mightily over the course of seven rookie starts, all of them losses. If Goff doesn't show signs that he is making significant strides toward at least becoming a reliable starting quarterback for the foreseeable future, McVay probably won't have a hard time turning to his backup, Sean Mannion, a third-round pick in 2015 who hasn't seen much playing time yet.

McVay often has said he and his staff will "constantly evaluate guys."

Starting fresh allows him to keep an open mind at every position, including quarterback.

"Jared is our guy; we have a lot of confidence in what he's done," McVay stressed after Monday's practice. "But we have confidence in Sean as well. ... We’re going to play the guys that give us the ability to win football games and the guys that are competing at the highest level. Clearly, Jared has done that so far. It’s a one-day-at-a-time process, but what he has done is just pick things up. He’s getting better every single day, and he has definitely commanded that role. He did that again today."

It was easy to infer from his remarks that -- fairly or unfairly -- any team signing Kaepernick would risk angering a segment of its fan base. And teams don’t like to do that.

Which is why at least 31 quarterbacks whose 55.2 Total QBR in 2016 was lower than that of Kaepernick -- who ranked an uninspiring 23rd in that category -- are on NFL rosters right now and he’s not. That number doesn’t count Austin Davis, who in five NFL seasons has 13 touchdown passes and 12 interceptions but who didn’t take a snap in 2016. It does count the likes of Mark Sanchez, Nick Foles, Geno Smith and Ryan Fitzpatrick. It does not count Blaine Gabbert,Tyler Higbee Jersey, who ranked a couple of spots ahead of Kaepernick on that list but also lost his job with the 49ers to Kaepernick midseason.

The Ravens have all those tight ends back this year in what again looks to be a very full room. Baltimore still kept Pitta, who will turn 32 in a month, though he took a pay cut for a second straight year.

Now with a full offseason of normal training, Pitta feels like he could be even better than last year. The Ravens could use him more as a red-zone target this season after last year’s leader in receiving touchdowns, Steve Smith Sr., retired. Pitta scored seven touchdowns in 2012 before his first hip injury.

Pitta also feels like having Offensive Coordinator Marty Mornhinweg running the unit at the start of the season will help the offense as a whole.

“Consistency at the offensive coordinator spot certainly helps,” Pitta said. “We have not had a lot of that over the years. I was one that was a little bit vocal last year in saying that we needed consistency. I’m happy that that is what we got, and that we can continue to build off of what we did last year.”

There are plenty of great cornerbacks to wear a Denver Broncos uniform and Chris Harris Jr. is on a path to be the team’s best.

Dan Graziano, NFL Insider: I like the Los Angeles Rams. Coordinator Wade Phillips' impact on the defense and head coach Sean McVay's intelligence and energy will be enough to vault them to their first winning season since 2003. Also helping their case: The Cardinals are due for a downturn and Seattle's ship looked a little leaky last year. Obviously, there's some concern about how Jared Goff meshes with the new coaching staff and learns a whole new system. But I'll give that staff and running back Todd Gurley the benefit of the doubt. Don't underestimate the impact of veteran left tackle Andrew Whitworth on the offensive line, either.

Aaron Schatz, editor of Football Outsiders: I'm driving the Rams bandwagon this year. OK, I guess it's more of a minivan, but more folks should be hopping aboard once they realize Phillips' phenomenal record of improving defenses in his first year as coordinator. (I wrote about that in detail here.) The offense isn't going to be good, but there's no way it will be as bad as last year. The 2016 Rams had the fourth-worst offense in the history of our DVOA stats, which stretches all the way back to 1987. The other teams in the bottom dozen improved by an average of three wins the next year, and three of those teams had winning records.
Schatz’s support isn’t all that surprising given that FO recently updated their mean projections that have the Rams at 8.2 mean wins this year. The sheer fact that 1?3 of the experts have the Rams making the playoffs though is what’s striking.

And perhaps the real takeaway is just how volatile projecting this season is.

You’ve got experts, quantitative and analytical and...well others, offering legitimate reasons to buy into an immediate revival of the franchise under new Head Coach Sean McVay. And then you have oddsmakers who have the Rams as underdogs in EVERY...SINGLE...GAME measured up against the odds that have the Rams as the second-longest shot to win the conference.

Really what this comes down to is a referendum on coaching. It partly depends on how much you think former Head Coach Jeff Fisher held the talent on the roster back and how quickly you think McVay can resuscitate the careers of some that talent that Fisher suppressed.

From QB Jared Goff to RB Todd Gurley to WR Tavon Austin to OL Greg Robinson, the offensive depth chart under Fisher featured a bunch of failed first-round picks. If McVay can capture a shred of improved production from that group while making good on the additions through free agency and the 2017 NFL Draft while facilitating a defensive improvement under Defensive Coordinator Wade Phillips, you’re looking at a scenario in which the Rams could have the chance to end a 13-season run without a winning record.

It’s asking a lot of ducks to line up in a row, but hey. Crazier things have happened.
